The Sedgwick County Democratic Party relies on financial support from people who believe in our Party’s mission of electing more Democrats and building the Party at the grassroots level. We are very grateful to all those generous Democrats who have given in the past. Without their contributions we would not be in a position to keep our office open and operating, grow the local party and win elections.

In 2006, donors to the local party helped fund an unprecedented grassroots operation that re-elected Kathleen Sebelius as Governor, elected Paul Morrison as Attorney General, added two new Sedgwick County Democrats to the Kansas House and put another Democrat on the Sedgwick County Commission. We need your help today to continue the great progress we are making.

We depend on you to help fund the services that candidates and activists rely upon. 2008 will be a critical campaign year for Kansas Democrats. We need to elect more Democrats to the State House and State Senate who will support the Governor’s agenda for moving Kansas forward. We need more Democratic judges who will fairly and impartially follow the rule of law, without adhering to a personal ideological agenda. We need to fill our county courthouse with Democrats who will promote efficiency and fiscal responsibility. We also need to retire Todd Tiahrt and Pat Roberts by sending Donald Betts to Congress and electing a Democrat to the US Senate! If you want to help the Sedgwick County Democratic Party work to elect candidates who will fight for affordable health care, higher paying jobs, quality education, renewable energy, and equal opportunity for all, donate today!

Saturday, July 19 is the date of our Independence Celebration, where in addition to raising funds for the party, activists will be connected with their local candidates and hear from our next Congressman Donald Betts and our next US Senator Jim Slattery. Individual tickets are $25 per person and sponsorships for larger donations are also available. For more information about this event, click here.
